Hold My Court
We are excited to announce a pilot project that will double our Hold My Court capacity. The City of West Kelowna has agreed to allow us to use the tennis courts at Shannon Lake. Our original proposal was to paint lines on the tennis courts but this was rejected by the city. Our counter proposal involved placing anchor markings for the corners and Ts in felt pen and then using sidewalk chalk to line the courts. This pilot project was accepted by the city with the goal being to determine if there is a need for these extra courts and to measure their impact upon the Shannon Lake community.
NOTE: We are in talks with the city regarding a much larger project located in an area that would be a good fit with pickleball. IF this project were to go ahead it would be years before it would be completed given the city's processes and requirements.

Hold My Court - Mt. Boucherie Courts & Shannon Lake

Hold My Court Procedures
you can reserve a court 6 days in advance (in other words you can book on a Saturday @ 5:00pm for the following Friday
90 minute time slots
all 4 players' names must be entered
you can cancel your reservation by clicking on the date, court and time that you reserved and then selecting Delete This Reservation (note: only the person who initially reserved the court can delete this reservation)

fill in the form for a New Registration. Make sure that your email has been entered properly and that you included your first and last name
Playing At Shannon Lake
Reserve your court at Shannon Lake using the club’s Hold My Court Calendar.
Before going to your reserved time please check the Hold My Court Calendar to see if someone has booked the same court before you, in which case the net and chalk should be already there.
If you are the first group of the day to play on the court that you have reserved you should pick up a portable net from the Mt Boucherie courts storage shed on your way to the Shannon Lake courts. There should be a “chalk pole” by the net bag that you should take with you so that you can freshen up the court lines if required. The net system bags and chalk poles are located at the back of the storage shed.
Before leaving the Shannon Lake courts please consult the Hold My Court calendar to see if anyone has reserved your court immediately after you. If they have, please leave the net set up but don’t leave until the next group arrives. NOTE: if the group who is scheduled to follow you has not arrived by the time you need to leave, please dismantle the net system and return it to the Mt Boucherie courts storage shed.
The storage shed will be locked at 1:00 pm. If you are concerned that you might miss the Court Host in charge of locking the shed you can call them (see spreadsheet at the bottom of this page for the current schedule and phone numbers).
If the storage shed is locked when you return the net system, please take the net home and return it to the storage shed first thing in the morning the next day.
